Where can you find sea turtles on Maui?
Leave your camera at home & let us do the work… Come with us and we’ll show you!
One of the popular things to do when visiting Maui is to watch the turtles. Since the turtles tend to come close to shore to eat the vegetation, it’s fairly common to find tourists standing along the shore pointing excitedly at these majestic creatures. A lot of times you’ll even see them grabbing their snorkel gear and rushing out through the crashing waves to have the experience of being in the water with them. There’s nothing more exciting than going home with a genuine whopper of an “I swam with turtles” story.

To watch the turtles in their natural habitat is remarkable. Their graceful nature and curiosity lend them to be fascinating creatures for observation. There is a law that you cannot touch a turtle and out of respect, most snorkelers adhere to it.
Taking this adventure one step further requires that a person either pay the outrageous boat fees to be cattle-herded onto a boat with 100 of their new closest friends to be taxied out to a known turtle habitat and dropped in the water in hopes of a brave turtle sighting. The new alternative is to go out privately, paying only a flat rate for your small group, with a local guide – me. Visiting places like the “turtle car wash” or the “turtle highway” almost always ensures a fantastic experience. I make it accessible for anyone to enjoy the turtles – from inexperienced swimmers to 80 year old grandmothers.
A lot of swimming is not your thing? No worries!
I have a contract for private boat excursions – taking you for a quick trip at a fraction of the cost. I capture your whole experience on video and provide you with still photographs and an underwater video of your adventure.
Experiencing the exciting wonders of Maui does not have to cost you a fortune. It should be all about worry-free fun for your group and the Aloha of Maui.
